Meran 2000

Distance ~30 minutes by car

Known for sunny slopes and family-friendly fun, Meran 2000 offers about 40 km of trails ideal for all skill levels. The resort is equipped with an Outdoor Kids Camp, a snow park, and South Tyrol’s largest ropeway, making it perfect for a full day of snow sports, followed by a relaxing visit to the nearby Merano thermal baths. Beyond skiing, it’s a popular spot for winter hiking, where trails lead through panoramic snow-covered landscapes. For après-ski relaxation, the local alpine huts offer hearty South Tyrolean dishes, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes.

Latemar-Obereggen

Distance ~1 hour by car

Latemar-Obereggen is a popular destination with 48 km of interconnected slopes. Skiing here gives you access to three towns—Obereggen, Pampeago, and Predazzo—and night skiing on select days. The resort is known for its stunning Dolomite backdrop and well-groomed trails. Latemar-Obereggen’s snow park is a highlight for freestyle enthusiasts, featuring jumps, rails, and other obstacles for skiers and snowboarders. Reinswald

Distance ~50 minutes by car

Smaller in scale but rich in charm, Reinswald has 22 km of slopes that make it a quieter choice for those seeking a relaxed ski day. The resort’s scenic views and well-spaced mountain huts add a cozy, intimate feel, and the toboggan run is a fun break from skiing. Reinswald’s charm lies in its peaceful, unhurried atmosphere, ideal for those looking to escape the hustle of larger resorts. Known for its traditional flair, Reinswald often hosts events celebrating South Tyrolean culture, including festive winter markets and local culinary tastings.

Schnalstal (Val Senales)

Distance ~1 hour 15 minutes by car

Val Senales is a high-altitude resort with slopes reaching up to 3,200 meters, ensuring snow cover even late in the season. The glacier views at Val Senales provide a stunning setting, offering a unique, high-altitude skiing experience with guaranteed snow. It’s a favored spot for early and late-season skiing, given the higher elevation and colder conditions. This resort is surrounded by beautiful glacier scenery, and history lovers can visit the Ötzi village nearby, inspired by the famous 5,300-year-old mummy.

Seceda

Distance ~1 hour 20 minutes by car

Seceda is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, offering breathtaking views and 60 km of trails. One of the main attractions is La Longia, a 10 km descent that winds through a canyon with frozen waterfalls, providing both advanced skiers and nature lovers with a truly unique experience. Schöneben-Belpiano

Distance ~1 hour 30 minutes by car

At Resia Pass, Schöneben-Belpiano’s sunny and expansive slopes are perfect for family and intermediate skiers alike. Schöneben-Belpiano offers some of the most scenic lake views, with Lago di Resia’s frozen surface creating a striking winter backdrop. The resort is equipped with a snow park, offering extra thrills for snowboarders and freestylers. The resort connects with Nauders across the Austrian border, expanding your skiing options across a beautiful Alpine landscape.

Schwemmalm

Distance ~1 hour by car

Schwemmalm offers a laid-back, uncrowded ski experience with 25 km of trails and cozy mountain huts. Its natural snow conditions and scenic views make it a favorite for those looking to avoid the bustle of larger resorts and appreciate a quieter side of South Tyrol. It’s relaxed vibe and quiet trails provide a retreat from South Tyrol’s busier resorts, often attracting locals. Its rustic mountain huts offer a warm welcome, where you can savor local specialties like “Knödel” in a cozy setting. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts will also find scenic trails through the surrounding valley, providing yet another way to enjoy the winter landscape.

Sella Ronda

Distance ~1 hour 40 minutes by car

Sella Ronda is the ultimate experience for ski adventurers, with a 40 km loop through four Dolomite passes. This iconic route connects Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba, and Val di Fassa, offering an unmatched all-day ski experience. Skiing the Sella Ronda is a bucket-list experience, allowing you to circle the majestic Sella Massif through interconnected valleys. The circuit provides a perfect blend of groomed slopes, traditional villages, and the iconic Dolomite scenery at every turn. Its lift system is highly efficient, enabling skiers to complete the loop in just one day, with plenty of options for detours and breaks at charming mountain refuges.
